SatImage Southeast Asia (SISEA) originally began operation since January 2003 with the objective of being Southeast Asia’s first commercial operations center of IKONOS, the world’s first high-resolution commercial satellite
Based in Bangkok, Thailand, SISEA is equipped with the exclusive ability to produce and distribute to customers located in any part of the world IKONOS imagery data of the 17 countries within the South and Southeast Asia (namely, China includes Hong Kong, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, Singapore, and Thailand).  With the exclusive ownership of imagery rights collected at its ground station, imagery distribution to commercial and governmental customers is managed by SISEA’s own Operations Center via the marketing arms of more than 30 local regional distributors in South and Southeast Asia. Users and customers can be guaranteed of the quality data and support that is unsurpassed in the region.

SISEA aims to provide customers with satellite imagery data from its own IKONOS imagery archive. SISEA and customers alike will be able to increase capacities in the region for such application as large-scale mapping, urban planning and zoning, infrastructure planning, airport and harbor management, insurance and risk management, asset management, disaster management, natural resource management and environmental monitoring, and national security to name a few.
